Abuelita's Aliño

My Abuelita has always had a set of go-to spices that she used for most of her main dishes, like seco de pollo and estofado.


This mix is based on the spices that our family used in Ecuador. When they moved to the United States, they couldn't find exactly what they had back home, so my uncle Marco and Abuelita created this mix based on what he could find in the local grocery stores.




Spice Mix


  • 4 oz of garlic salt

  • 2 oz of garlic powder

  • 2 oz of cumin

  • 2 oz of oregano

  • 1 oz of black pepper

  • 1 clove



Prep


Mix throughly and store in an air-tight container.
